On our way to Bali, we had a layover in Hong Kong. A lay over that was just long enough to spend a night at a hotel (thankfully, that was a long flight!). Our evening there we weren't able to do too much but we did manage to head out and explore the streets a little bit and find some good food. Such an interesting city, I'm bummed we weren't able to stay longer, it definitely heightened my curiosity but that's another trip! We came across the BEST ramen. It was a small mom and pops, very authentic in every way. I think that's one of the coolest things about traveling, to be able to explore without expectation and end up finding the coolest little spots with such interesting people. The ramen was different from any other i've had and sadly i'll aways be on the hunt for something similar to fill that tasteful craving. I can't even describe it to you, the texture of the ramen was different, it was better. The spices filled every corner of my mouth with satisfaction. I'm sorry I wasn't able to get a pre photo, but by the time I remembered it was already gone but at least we can dream of that unreachable ramen together.
